Partner Rob has been placing high-profile law firm partners and teams since 2006 and has worked extensively across major legal marketplaces globally. He is recognised as an accomplished, well connected and highly respected trusted advisor in the industry. In recent years he has concluded partner and team hiring processes in several major US markets including New York, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. He has also run numerous projects for US firms in London, Europe and Asia. This combination of expertise means that, although he is principally based in London, Rob is frequently on the ground in the US in order to transact business and to strategically advise practice group leaders at Am Law 50 firms. For a number of years, Rob was head of European lateral hiring at a leading US Law firm, an experience which gave him valuable client-side insight. This, together with his many years’ experience as a recruiter, has given him the fullest understanding of all aspects of a hire, including internal processes/considerations and understanding how recruiters can add real value. Clients regard as a key strength his tenacity in driving a search towards successful delivery of both the hire and the strategic objectives of the search. Rob is known for having very deep and detailed market knowledge. He gives advice based on strong market understanding. His practice covers a mix of retained/exclusive partner searches as well as representing individual partners and teams. He has been involved in facilitating a number of targeted merger discussions. Rob primarily works across transactional areas of law, best characterised as those encompassing Corporate, Private Equity, Funds, Banking & Finance and Projects & Energy. Prior to his career in recruitment Rob had the honour to serve in HM Royal Air Force and to participate in active operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
